Fikret Sanal is a Turkish filmmaker based in Istanbul. He graduated in Computer Engineering before fully dedicating himself to cinema.
His artistic journey began in Germany in the early 2000s, where he first stepped into the visual arts through photography, eventually transitioning into filmmaking. With over two decades of experience, Sanal has directed numerous short films, feature films, and documentaries, developing a distinctive cinematic language that blends emotional realism with visual precision.
His work has been screened at international film festivals and has received over 30 awards worldwide, establishing him as a powerful voice in contemporary independent cinema.
